The season is starting to change, and there are some really exciting things happening at Art Works Gallery, too!

In case you haven’t heard, Art Works is going to have a fun new theme for the holiday season.  This year, we will be exploring “A Steampunk Holiday” at Art Works Gallery.  For those of you unfamiliar with steampunk, it is a literary genre that’s gone mainstream.  Steampunk re-envisions the late 1800s in a world that is run by steam power, gears, and wheels instead of computers and electronics.

In conjunction with this theme, we are welcoming published author, Paula Williams, to Riverside from Northern California for a very special workshop!  Come to the “Put a Little Steam in Your Writing” Saturday workshop from 12:00 – 4:00 PM on October 13, and explore how to utilize steampunk inspiration in your creative writing, from world-building to character development.
